** The Skin to Win has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 3 due to the amount of snow we've received. The pre-race meeting will still be on Friday, February 1.


Classic mountaineering event combines extensive climbing and steep descents through challenging terrain. Divisions for Men & Women, Pro and Recreational.

The Pro Division covers a minimum of 5,000 feet
vertical gain and the Rec Division 2,300 of vertical.

All competitors must have the following equipment during the race:
*457 kHz Avalanche Transceiver
*Skins for Ascending--No Snowshoes. Booting is only allowed where specified.
*Backpack
*Skis with metal edges or splitboard
*Skis and splitboards must have adequate retention devices or brakes.
*Helmet--must be properly worn and fastened during the competition.

A mandatory competitor's meeting will be held Friday, February 1 at 5:30 PM at Bozeman Public Library, 626 East Main Street. Must be 16 or older to enter. If under the age of 18 a signature of a parent or a legal guardian is required. Parent must be present at the mandatory competitor meeting.

First 80 registered competitors will receive a Thinksport thermos bottle.

Entry Fees: Pro: $50, $70 w/lift ticket, Rec: $35, $55 w/lift ticket. All competitors must have a valid lift ticket.

Race start time is 8:30 AM

*****The course is subject to change at anytime prior to the start of the race. In the event of significant snowfall Friday evening or Saturday prior to the event start, the race will be postponed until Sunday February 3.*****

Awards ceremony in Face Shots bar in the Jim Bridger Lodge at 2:00 PM. Awards for top three finishers, men and women, pro and rec divisions. $1000 in Cash Awards. Great Door Prizes!

All participants are entered into the Grand Prize Drawing on March 30. Must be present to win.
