Yellowstone National Park is only 90 miles from Bozeman to either the North or West gate entrances and winter recreation is available in and around the park. We have excellent cross-country facilities next door at Bohart Ranch. Big Sky and Moonlight Basin are about an hour's drive south of Bozeman. Showdown Ski Area is about 2 hours north of Bridger Bowl and Red Lodge Mountain is about 3 hours away.

Yellowstone National Park

Located 90 miles south of Bozeman, Yellowstone National Park is the largest national park in the lower 48 states. In the winter season all roads and entrances, with one exception, are closed to motor vehicle travel and are groomed for over snow vehicles. The exception is the North Entrance and the road from Gardiner, MT, through the Northeast Entrance to Cooke City, MT. Cross Country Skiing

Bohart Ranch:

Located 1 mile from Bridger Bowl.

Trails offer 25km of quality skiing for both the recreational and competitive skier. Trials, supporting both diagonal and skating techniques, are groomed and tracked on nationally and internationally recognized private and Forest Service terrain. Services include rentals, lessons, snacks and warming cabin.

Lindley Park:

Located at East Main and Cypress Street in downtown Bozeman.

Lindley City Park is a 15.9 acre park in downtown Bozeman that offers cross-country ski trails depending on snow conditions.

Natural Hot Springs

Bozeman Hot Springs and Spa

Located 8 miles west of Bozeman on US 191.

The all natual hot springs features 9 different pools with temperatures ranging from 59 to 104 degrees and both dry and wet saunas.

Norris Hot Springs

Located 33 miles southwest of Bozeman.

The pool is a 30 by 40 ft, constructed of fir planks built directly over the natural artesian hot springs. The source of Norris Hot Springs is 120 degrees, but they try to keep the pool at temperatures between 103-106 degrees in the winter.

Chico Hot Springs and Resort

Located 30 miles from Livingston and 55 miles east of Bozeman.

There are two open-air mineral Hot Springs pools. The small pool averages 104 degrees, and the large one averages 96 degrees.
