Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Site. We update this policy from time to time, so you should check back regularly for updates. Your continued use of this Site after we make changes is deemed to be agreement to and acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
This policy does not apply to information collected by us offline (when you interact with our employees in person or over the phone) and it does not apply to websites we do not own or control, even if we have provided a link to that website for your information or use.
Although most of our visitors call Montana home, we know that our guests come from all over the world. Without conceding that we have a legal obligation to comply with the laws of your home country or state, we want you to know that we are committed to protecting your information. If you have a question or concern about what we have covered in this policy, feel free to give us a call! We will do our best to address whatever concerns you may have.
Categories of Personal Data
For purposes of this policy, “personal data” means any information that is linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or an identifiable individual. Different states and countries use different definitions of “personal data” or “personal information.” Because we call Montana home, we use the definition in Montana’s Consumer Data Privacy Act. Common examples of personal data include your name and address, email address, registration and contact information, billing and payment information, and data about the device you are using to access our website or services. The personal data we collect depends on the extent of your interactions with our products and services, the features you use, and applicable law. The categories of personal data we collect can include the following:
Individual Identifiers. Identifiers such as your name, mailing address, unique personal identifier or user name, internet protocol (IP) address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and other similar identifiers. We use this information to register you for a guest account, which you will need to get a Bridger Bowl Card.
Credentials. Customer codes, passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and guest account access.
Account History. Information about the services we have linked to your account, including your order history, lessons, family members, equipment sizes, level of experience, participation in special events or programs, and account status.

If you participate as a member of one of those groups, we will collect information about your affiliation with that group and track you as an eligible member.
Credit Card and Payment History. Data to process payments, such as your credit card and authorization information, and information about the activities associated with your account.
Photographs Although photographs do not appear on our Bridger Bowl Cards, they are required for your guest account. When your card is scanned at one of our check-outs or at a lift, a member of our staff will be able to see your photo. Since your card is loaded with your season pass, lift tickets, and rental information, we don’t want anyone else to use it!

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, an e-commerce platform that includes a range of tools for selling across web, mobile, social media, and online marketplaces, managing products, inventory, payments, fulfillment, shipping, and engaging customers through marketing, advertising, and communications. Shopify routinely collects personal information about visitors to storefronts like ours through the use of cookies, a small of information that is downloaded to your computer or device when you visit certain websites. Shopify uses a number of different cookies to collect information about your activities on their hosted sites, including functional cookies used to remember choices you have made or information you have provided (like your username, language, or geographic region) and analytics or reporting cookies to collect information about how often you have visited certain sites and what you did while you were there. You can see a full list of the functional and analytics cookies placed by Shopify on our storefront here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.
Payment Accounts
To maximize the number of payment options available for our guests, we have enrolled in multiple payment programs, including Shopify Payments, Apple Pay for Safari, Google Pay, Meta Pay, and Amazon Pay. These payment options will appear as an accelerated checkout option on our checkout page. If you wish to make purchases using one of these options, you will need to sign up for that service separately, with the payment provider who owns the service (Shopify, Apple, Google, Meta, and/or Amazon). Your use of these payment options is subject to the terms of your agreement with each provider. We do not control how these payment options function, the terms of use associated with your use of these services, or the payment provider’s use of your personal information.

Contact information may be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how you engage with our Site. We use this information to improve our content and built better features to enhance your experience. Google Analytics uses a set of cookies to collect information about the visitors to the Site, which Google then reports back to us as site usage statistics. When Google provides us a report, it does not personally identify individual visitors. However, Google Analytics does place persistent cookies on your computer. The main cookie used by Google Analytics (“_ga”) allows Google to distinguish one visitor from another and lasts for two years. You can find out more about Google’s use of cookies here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=en-US.
Google currently provides website visitors the option to opt-out of the use of their data from by Google Analytics. To utilize the opt-out feature, you will need to download and install an add-on for your web browser. The current version has been designed to be compatible with Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. You can download the opt-out add-on here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and learn more about the opt-out and how to install it here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/181881?hl=en. We do not control this opt- out, which may be updated or removed in accordance with Google’s policies.
Social Media and Other Linked Sites
Our Site contains plug-ins and other features that integrate third-party social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube. You can activate these plug-ins manually by clicking on the icons located in the lower left-hand corner of our homepage. If you do so, the collection and use of your personal data is subject to each company’s privacy policies. We have no control over the collection and use of your information by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or X, should you elect to leave our homepage and visit their sites.
For your convenience, additional hyperlinks may be posted on our Site that link to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for, and this policy does not apply to, the privacy practices of other companies. You should not assume that our policy applies to any external sites, or that the policies applicable to those sites are similar to ours. You will need to review each site’s privacy policy to understand how your personal data will be collected and used by the owner of the site.
Your Privacy rights and Options
Consumer Rights Requests. Bridger Bowl is based in the State of Montana, with guests from across the country. We value your confidence and trust in us and take the privacy of your information extremely seriously. If you have a question or concern about this privacy policy and our use of personal information, please feel free to contact us! Even if the law in Montana is different from your home jurisdiction, we will still do our best to resolve any requests you may have.
If you would like to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, please contact us at the email address below. Remember to include “Privacy Rights Request” in the subject of your email, so we can get it to the right people. Once we have received your request, the first thing we will do is determine if we have collected and retained any of your personal data. If we are in possession of your personal data, we will confirm receipt of your request and contact you to verify your identity. The method by which we will verify your identity may vary, depending on the type and sensitivity of your personal data, the risk of harm to you, and the technology available to you. If we cannot verify your identity with reasonable certainty, we will deny your request and inform you that your identity could not be verified. Although you are under no obligation to cooperate with our efforts to verify your identity, we cannot act on your request until you have done so.
Please do not send us any sensitive personal information as part of your request. Should we require any information beyond your name and account number, we will contact you to discuss a secure and reliable means of transmitting that information to us.
Our resolution of your request will depend on the nature of the personal data and the purposes of our processing of your data. We reserve the right to decline your request if we are unable to authenticate your identity, if we have a good faith, reasonable, and documented belief that your request is fraudulent, or if your request exceeds what is required of us under applicable law. We may elect to fulfill your request without conceding the applicability of any legal requirement that would require us to do so.
Should we decline your request, you may submit an appeal of our decision to the following email address: webmaster@bridgerbowl.com. Please include “Consumer Privacy Appeal” in the subject of your email.
Using Our Cookie Banner. When you enter our Site, you have the option to accept or decline all cookies. When you make this election, your choice will be stored on your web browser. Should you change your mind and wish to opt-out later, you will need to clear your browsing data and reload our Site. Since the process for clearing the browser cache and associated cookies varies between browsers, you should consult the browser’s support site for further instructions.
You can also use our Cookie Banner to learn more about the cookies we use and register your preferences with respect to specific categories of cookies. The categories of cookies we use are:
- Personalization Cookies: These cookies store details about your actions to personalize your next visit to the website. When you interact with our website, we will install a cookie to collect your personal information and store data about what you did on our Site. The next time you visit, this information is used to “remember” you. These cookies are considered “first-party” cookies, because they are set and used by us to personalize your experience on the Site and provide you better customer service.
- Marketing Cookies: These cookies are used to track your online activity across websites for marketing and advertising purposes. Because our business is skiing, and not marketing or advertising, any marketing cookies on our site have come from someone else. Some of the common marketing programs on the market include Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Microsoft Ads. These types of cookies are considered “third-party” cookies because they were created and placed by someone else. If any of these cookies are present on our Site, you can identify them by looking at their associated domain (it will be something other than bridgerbowl.com). If you want to block these cookies, you can opt-out using our cookie banner (you can also use the additional controls described below).
- Analytics Cookies: These cookies help us understand how you interact with our site. We use this data to identify areas to improve and analyze the performance of our website. On our Site, these cookies belong to Google Analytics (you can read more about how Google Analytics works and how to opt-out with Google in this policy). If you want to block these cookies, you can opt-out using our cookie banner.
Browser-Based Controls. Your browser may include certain features that will assist you in controlling the collection and use of your personal information. These features may include:
- Cookie Controls: Your internet browser will enable you to select to receive or block cookies under various conditions. However, should you choose to decline or block cookies by adjusting your browser settings, you may disrupt the operation of cookies that are essential to our Site. You can typically block cookies through the browser’s “Settings” or “Preferences” menus. You can find more specific instructions on your browser’s support site or here: https://allaboutcookies.org/what-is-a-cookie (under “How to disable third-party cookies”).
- Tracking Prevention.: Several browsers currently offer or are experimenting with features
that detect and block potentially harmful trackers, including social media trackers, cross-site
tracking cookies, fingerprinters, crypto-mining and tracking content. You can learn more
about these tracking initiatives and register your preferences here:

- Browser Controls for "Do Not Track" Some browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” features that can send a signal to websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to treat these signals, you should use the “Do Not Track” feature in conjunction with another form of opt-out. Many websites still collect and use your browsing data to improve security, provide content, services, ads and recommendations on their websites, and generate reporting statistics.
NAI Interest-Based Advertising. The Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) offers consumers the option of opt-ing out of interest-based advertising by participating NAI member companies. You can use the service to find out which participating NAI member companies may be conducting interest-based advertising on your browser, learn more about their privacy practices, and choose to opt-out of interest-based advertising from one, some or all participating NAI member companies on your browser. You can access NAI’s opt-out page here: https://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1.

If there are material changes to the policy, such as a change to the processing of your personal data that is not consistent with the purpose for which it was originally collected, we will notify you by either (i) posting a prominent notice of such changes to our Site before they take effect; or (ii) by sending you a direct notification, via email or your last contact address on file. We encourage you to periodically review this policy for updates and contact us if you have any questions or concerns. All changes will become effective when posted.
