Jennifer Stark

Chair

Jennifer has served on several standing committees and currently serves on the Bridger Bowl Foundation Board. She assisted with the Master Development Plan and is now helping guide its implementation while leading the Board’s strategic framework to ensure future projects align with Bridger Bowl’s core values. A Bozeman resident since 2002, she lived in Big Timber for a summer and fell in love with Montana. Originally from Connecticut, Jennifer completed a BS in Horticulture from Cornell University and holds an MS in Land Reclamation from Montana State University. She is President and co-founder of Valley of the Flowers Landscaping, a full service landscape contracting firm in business for over 24 years which recently transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company. An avid skier, former ski patroller, mother of three and nonprofit leader, she feels honored to be able to contribute her professional business skills, paired with mountain life experiences, to ensure Bridger’s continued success.

Holly Tarlow

Vice Chair

Holly is a native Montanan and lifelong skier with deep roots in Montana skiing. She and her husband Buzz have lived in Bozeman for 38 years where they raised their two kids. Outdoor activities, travel and spending time with her kids and two granddaughters fills her life with adventure. A graduate of the University of Montana, Holly worked as a geologist for the USGS and the Peabody Oil Company. Prior to having children, she spent her winters working in the ski industry in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Zealand as a race coach, ski instructor and ski school technical director. Holly has been an active volunteer for nonprofit organizations in the Bozeman community. Serving on the Bridger Bowl Board of Directors allows her to give back to an industry and sport important in her life. Her work on the board is motivated by a desire to continue to provide accessible outdoor recreation opportunities to our community.

Ian Jones

Secretary

Ian has called Bozeman home for 15 years, arriving for college at Montana State University and never finding a reason to leave. A software consultant and technical team manager by trade, he spends his free time skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping and fly fishing across southwest Montana. Bridger Bowl sits at the center of that life: his favorite freshman course was the one he took on the mountain itself, learning its terrain and culture, and he has the first-tracks pins to show for the years since. In 2015, Ian co-founded the Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association, serving as its founding President, helping write its bylaws and operations guide and overseeing construction of the Copper City trail network near Three Forks. He also spent 13 years as a volunteer ski and bike patroller.

Joe Seymour

Joe's lifelong passion for skiing began at age five in Wisconsin and has taken him to ski areas throughout North America, Europe and New Zealand. After earning a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UC Davis and working as a scientist and engineer in several countries, he moved to Bozeman in 2001. He is currently a Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Montana State University and has been skiing at Bridger Bowl for more than two decades. Joe believes Bridger Bowl is truly unique as a community-focused nonprofit ski area with a strong culture and exceptional staff. As a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Long Range Planning Committee, he is committed to preserving Bridger's character while helping the organization thoughtfully address future growth and challenges. Joe and his wife, Sarah, are passionate skiers who value Bridger's tradition of accessible, family-friendly skiing and snowboarding.

Kevin Sylvester

After leading recreation and conservation programming in Maine, northern Minnesota and the Southwest, Kevin moved to Montana 15 years ago to join the Montana Conservation Corps. In 2015, he moved to Bozeman to become Executive Director of Family Promise of Gallatin Valley, where he led significant program and operational expansion. Kevin joined Eagle Mount in 2019 as Executive Director and oversees the organization’s strategic plan, fundraising and operations. For more than 40 years, Eagle Mount has partnered with Bridger Bowl to provide adaptive skiing and snowboarding opportunities to hundreds of local participants each year. Kevin holds degrees from the University of Connecticut and Montana State University and is both a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP). He currently serves on the Bridger Bowl Foundation Board and has spent the past 10+ years sharing his love of skiing at Bridger Bowl with his wife and two daughters.

Morgan Klaas

Morgan is a Bozeman native who proudly grew up skiing Bridger Bowl from the time she could walk. Her intimate knowledge of Bridger’s culture, legendary terrain and importance to the Bozeman community gives her a unique perspective on the mountain’s past, present and future. Professionally, Morgan is a Managing Director and Partner at Profitable Ideas Exchange (PIE), a Bozeman-based consulting firm where she facilitates strategic conversations among C-level executives. In this role, she has developed strong communication, organizational leadership and collaboration skills. Prior to PIE, Morgan was a LEED-accredited building operations and maintenance specialist, supporting sustainability-focused projects in Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore National Parks and helping achieve LEED certification for Gardiner High School. Outside of work, Morgan enjoys backcountry skiing, mountain biking and backpacking. She is passionate about keeping the Bridger Bowl experience accessible, authentic and sustainable for future generations.

Hillary Carls

Bridger Bowl is quite literally why Hillary lives in Bozeman. She became a devotee during her freshman year at MSU, spending more time with her transceiver and Ridge pack than textbooks, and has been a season passholder for most years since 1997. She is grateful for her Bridger Bowl family. Bridger Bowl is the centerpiece of Hillary’s family’s outdoor lifestyle and community. Her husband, Tom, has long been a Bridger Bowl “dirtbag,” and their son, Quinn, now happily trains in alpine racing with Bridger Ski Foundation. Hillary has been practicing law in Montana for nearly 20 years as a trial lawyer. She served on multiple nonprofit boards, which provided her with a deep understanding of nonprofit financial management, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. She hopes these skills benefit Bridger Bowl’s cooperative structure and is deeply committed to preserving the unique character and community-focused mission that make Bridger Bowl so special.

Dash Rodman

Dash has had a deep love and connection to Bridger Bowl since first experiencing the mountain 30 years ago. The community, the vibe, the snow and the terrain have kept him coming back, making Bridger his winter home. He and his wife, Deb, have skied at Bridger together for many years, and now their daughters train with the Bridger Ski Foundation Freeride Team. Dash is the founder and owner of Gnarled Pine Forestry, specializing in wildfire mitigation and forest health projects throughout Bridger Canyon and the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. His work has strengthened his communication, problem-solving, fiscal management and leadership skills. He has also served on the boards of the Montana Brewers Association, Montana Wilderness School and the Bridger Canyon Property Owners Association. Dash is committed to preserving Bridger Bowl’s community focus and helping the mountain grow thoughtfully while ensuring it continues to benefit future generations.

Mason Griffin

Mason can’t remember not having a ski area in her life and can’t imagine life without one. Although she wasn’t born in Montana, she arrived as soon as she could in 1999, discovered Bridger Bowl, and years later still can’t get enough of it. She has worked here, built lifelong friendships and watched Bridger Bowl evolve while remaining the special place that keeps people coming back. Many know Mason through Alter Cycles, the repair-focused bicycle shop she owns in Bozeman, or through her work as a Realtor with Century 21. While serving on the Board of Directors for Bridgercare she helped guide the organization through COVID and a period of significant growth. Mason cares deeply about Bridger Bowl, our community and is committed to preserving its history, telling its stories and helping guide its future for the skiers and riders of Montana and beyond.

Hiram Towle

Chief Executive Officer

Hiram started skiing at Crotched Mountain at two years old, where his father was a ski patroller. After 13 years in the high-tech industry, he joined Sunday River Resort in Maine in 2002 and was there for just shy of 13 years. In 2014, with his wife Jeannine and son Hiram (the fifth), he lived in Southern Oregon for 8 years. There, he served as General Manager at Mt. Ashland, a nonprofit community ski area. Hiram’s main focus is preserving the unique Bridger Bowl vibe cherished by our local skiers and riders who make up the majority of ski visits. As GM and CEO, he works to inspire every department to celebrate their nonprofit ski area and protect Bridger’s place in the industry as a big mountain with a friendly local vibe.
